We will be celebrating Losar, Tibetan New Year here at the Hermitage in North Wales on Monday 24th February from 10am – 4pm. You are invited to stay overnight to fully enjoy!
Please let us know if you are coming by replying to Hermitage@ahs.org.uk or by booking here.
Everyone is welcome to come. We will continue the tradition of gathering, making traditional Buddhist prayers and offerings, performing a fire puja and enjoying each others company. You are welcome to attend as much of the day as you wish. There is no charge for attending, although donations are always welcome to support the activity of Lama Shenpen and The Hermitage.
The provisional timetable is as follows:
10am – light offering at the stupa and Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana (prayer)
10.30 – 12.00 – meditation (mixture of sitting and walking)
12 – 2pm – bring and share lunch, plus set up for fire puja
2 – 4pm – fire puja and put up new prayer flags
4pm – tea and chat
If you wish to get here earlier then we will be doing a purification of the whole site with incense and mantras at around 9am.
