From the North…
From Caernarfon take the A487 towards Porthmadog. After passing through the village of Bryncir take the next major right turn (B4411) to Criccieth. Then take the first right turn signed to Ynys, round sharp bend, take the first left fork and follow the road which passes two farms. After you have passed the two farms take the next right turn into Ynys lane, which is a long avenue of trees. The Hermitage is about 200metres down the lane on the right hand side sign posted ‘Ynys Graianog’.
From the South…
Porthmadog take the A487 towards Caernarfon. Soon after you have gone past Dolbenmaen take the B4411 to Criccieth and continue as above.
From Criccieth take the B4411. Follow the road through Rhoslan and take the first left turn onto a winding country lane signposted to Llangybi. You will pass 2 farms and a small bridge over a river before coming to a T-junction. Turn right at the T-junction; drive up the lane for 50 metres or so and then take the first left turn into Ynys lane, which is a long avenue of trees. The Hermitage is about 200 metres up the lane on the right hand side.

Criccieth – about 15 minutes in a taxi
Bangor – about 45 minutes in a taxi or bus

Rhoslan – 20 min walk
Glandwyfach – 40 min walk
Birmingham International – trains to Criccieth and Bangor
Liverpool John Lennon – train via Chester to Bangor
Manchester – train via Chester or Crewe to Bangor
